Prospettive

The Renaissance discovery of optical perspective was prominently celebrated in the Sala Delle Prospettive, designed by Baldassare Peruzzi in the Villa Farnesina in Rome. Mario Gagliardi designed this rug as a modern hommage to the discoveries of the Renaissance. Handwoven Flat Weave in pure Cotton, 200 x 170 cm.
$1,700

Celebre

At the artistic performances and costume parties at the early Bauhaus, Kandinsky appeared as an antenna, Itten as amorphous monster, Gropius as Le Corbusier, and Feininger as two triangles. Fascinated by these legendary performances, Mario created a rug design with geometric totems to celebrate this time of exceptional creativity. He designed this rug with a black background and bright figures which are meticulously carved to create patterns of light and shadow. Handtufted from 100% New Zealand Wool, 200 x 240 cm.
